  • Early voting and absentee ballot requests are now closed.
  • Mailed absentee ballots must reach your parish registrar of voters by Monday, November 2 at 4:30 p.m. A postmark does not count, so mail it early.
  • On election day, polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are in line when polls close, you can still vote.

Shall Fire Protection District No. 4 of the Parish of Natchitoches, State of Louisiana (the "District"), continue to levy and collect an ad valorem tax of ten (10.00) mills on all the property subject to taxation within the District (an estimated $30,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2007 and ending with the year 2016, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating fire protection facilities and equipment in the District, including paying the cost of obtaining water for fire protection purposes?
