What's on the ballot and key dates

On the ballot: U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and proposed constitutional amendments, plus local races in some areas.

  • Early voting and absentee ballot requests are now closed.
  • Mailed absentee ballots must reach your parish registrar of voters by Monday, November 2 at 4:30 p.m. A postmark does not count, so mail it early.
  • On election day, polls are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are in line when polls close, you can still vote.

Shall St. Helena Parish Hospital Service District No. 1, State of Louisiana (the "District"), under the authority of Sub-Part A, Part III, Chapter 10, Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended, be authorized to sell the retirement center and all land, equipment and appurtenances thereto and other assets relating thereto known as "Morgan Hills Retirement Center Apartments" to St. Helena Congregate Facility II, Inc. (the "Purchaser") for the following consideration: assumption of a promissory note issued by the District and held by the United States of America, acting through the Farmers Home Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and currently outstanding in the principal amount of $771,100.00 and other consideration, all as set forth in an Asset Purchase Agreement submitted by the Purchaser on May 21, 2003, which is on file with the District at the office of the Administrator, St. Helena Parish Hospital Service District No. 1, Highway 43 North, Greensburg, Louisiana 70441, and available for public inspection?
